Hey, she is so cute! Congratulations :)

Thanks mon ami. I'll post more photos in a few days.

Aye, Hypatia is much better for a cat. This wee one looks a little bit more of an Emily Noether. Perhaps the name could reflect the fact that she is going to have a quite easier life than poor lassie Hypatia. At least, from now on.

I must confess that "Emily Noether" meant nothing to me until now. My ignorance is bottomless and that's why I love it: I can fight against it every single day. Unlike Ada whose only fight from now on will be to get some chocolate.

And Lanark, is that your Scottish accent I feel?

    ** insert bagpipe music here**

An' ya han't seen me Wegie yet... (wegie = glaswegian)

And there I was, thinking that Wedgie was something else entirely :D

Are you referring, perhaps, to Emmy Noether?
  • adapar · 1 year ago
I thought so because she fits the bill. As her name is "Amalie Emmy" maybe "Emily" is just a lapsus-inspired choice :)
  • Lanark · 1 year ago
Oops that was quite a quantum superposition: Amalie + Emmy => Emily?

Could well have been Ammy, and if my memory continues worsening, will be Millie.

Thanks for the correction, herr Duvalis.

Nichts zu danken, herr Lanark. in the contrary, thanks for make me learn about such an interesting character.

By the way... the crowd is demanding more photos of Ada Augusta. A webcam live feed would be ideal but regular pictures would suffice for now... ;)
  • adapar · 1 year ago
It's not a live feed but it works :)
  • apoloduvalis · 1 year ago
You're right, it works. She is so cute! Are you teaching her in English?
  • adapar · 1 year ago
English was only used to keep the spirit of the page but we should teach her more languages. I am thinking English, German, French and Klingon. What do you think?

And now I realize that the spirit of the page would have been better served by Scottish. Du'h!
